Enrolment Procedure – Join the Waiting List

Our kindergarten operates a waiting list system in strict order of receipt of applications. There is an $20 waiting list fee. The earlier your child/ren are on the list, the better the chances of securing a place.

Applications open from July for children born in the previous 1 July – 30 June period.


Red Hill Kindergarten provide a program for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 year old children. There are 4 groups attending kindy either 2 days per week or 3 days per week.  A transition into kindy program for 3 year old children is shared with our community, one day per week.  These children will attend kindergarten the following year (children born July to December).

Red Hill Kindergarten does not provide Extended Hours Care or Vacation Care Programs.

The kindergarten program corresponds with Queensland Government school term and school vacation periods it is offered 40 weeks of the year.

Kindergarten Fees are paid quarterly by Direct Debit and are determined annually by the committee. Fees are offset by government funding and some fundraising activities. Red Hill Kindergarten is a Registered Childcare Provider.

2018 fees are set as follows:

Kindergarten 3 day 8:30am-2:30pm $1156 per 10 week term
$1161.60 per 11 week term
Kindergarten (3 year old) 8:30am – 2:30pm $410 per term

Place Allocation

We start allocating places mid-year (via email – please ensure we have your correct and current email address) so you will not hear anything before this time. An allocation letter is forwarded to parents/carers offering a place at the Kindergarten and outlining the above including any deposits required for the securing of a placement. Please note that a placement is not guaranteed until all deposits have been received.

To join the Waiting List, please download and print the Waiting List Application form. Payments are via direct debit (details are on the form).

Once paid, return the completed Waiting List Application form to the Kindergarten or email a scanned copy to Make sure all details are correct including your email address as we will use this to contact you regarding enrolment.

At Red Hill Kindergarten, we believe Kindergarten is an important year in a child's development and preparation for school.
